1. What This Website Is

Hamilton County Criminal History is a private reference website with no government affiliation. It does not keep official criminal records, retrieve records, conduct official background checks, or submit paperwork for a user.

The website identifies custodians such as Hamilton County Sheriff, Hamilton County and District Courts in Aurora, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. It may also link to outside search tools. Nebraska's Public Records Act, sections 84-712 through 84-712.09, governs public-body records, and section 29-3523 controls dissemination of specified criminal history. Those laws do not make this private site a records custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree not to:

• Use its content while violating a federal, Nebraska, or local law
• Threaten, harass, or stalk any person using information found here
• Rely on the content for a housing, hiring, lending, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized entry into systems or data
• Use a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages
• Interfere with website operation or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached through this website or a linked service must not be used to harass, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against anyone. The restriction is especially important for Nebraska Sex Offender Registry information. The official registry warns against retaliation involving a registrant, family, or employer and states that threats or vandalism are illegal and can result in arrest and prosecution. Registry publication supports lawful safety awareness, not vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Hamilton County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background reports. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for evaluating an applicant, renter, credit risk, insurance risk, or other FCRA-covered person. You agree not to use website or linked-tool information to:

• Make an employment or termination decision
• Evaluate a rental or housing application
• Set an insurance premium or judge creditworthiness
• Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public program
• Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

A permitted official check should be obtained through the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division or an FCRA-compliant screening provider appropriate to that use.

The website provides general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Nebraska charge, conviction, warrant, set-aside, sealing rule, or narrow expungement remedy applies to a particular person. Consult a Nebraska-licensed attorney for advice about a specific situation.

Criminal records can change through filing, amendment, dismissal, sealing, a Nebraska set-aside, or the dissemination limits in section 29-3523. Gaps and delays are possible. Nothing published here is an official statement from Hamilton County Sheriff, a court, the Nebraska State Patrol, or another government agency.
